Wir wurden beim Deutschen Lichtdesignpreis als Gewinner in der Kategorie „Außenbereich – Inszenierung“ ausgezeichnet. Darüber freuen wir uns sehr.
Gleichzeitig gibt es auch einen Wermutstropfen: Obwohl in diesem Projekt alle lichttechnischen Regularien eingehalten wurden, haben einzelne Verantwortliche im Behördenumfeld den Betrieb nach Fertigstellung untersagt. Offenbar soll in Hamburg kein Präzedenzfall für dynamische Architekturbeleuchtung geschaffen werden.
Wir setzen uns dafür ein, das zu ändern – und feiern diesen Erfolg trotzdem.
die Jurybegründung zum Award:
„Lichtwind“ zeigt, wie Licht im öffentlichen Raum subtil und dennoch eindrucksvoll wirken kann. Die langsame, fast meditative Lichtbewegung schafft eine Atmosphäre der Ruhe – ein Gegenentwurf zur optischen Überreizung urbaner Räume. Die Installation ist nachhaltig, poetisch und technisch innovativ zugleich. Licht wird hier zum Ausdrucksmittel für Rhythmus, Wandel und Klimabewusstsein.

We were awarded the German Lighting Design Award as the winner in the category “Outdoor – Staging”. We are truly delighted.
At the same time, there is a bittersweet note: Although all lighting-related regulations were complied with in this project, certain decision-makers within the authorities prohibited operation after completion. It appears that no precedent for dynamic architectural lighting is to be established in Hamburg.
We are working to change that – and we are still celebrating this success.

“Lichtwind” demonstrates how light in public space can be subtle yet deeply impactful. Its slow, almost meditative movement creates an atmosphere of calm — a counterpoint to the visual overstimulation of urban environments. The installation is sustainable, poetic, and technically innovative at the same time. Here, light becomes a means of expression for rhythm, transformation, and climate awareness.
